To this day, Mugler’s body of work keeps haunting our collective imagination and never ceases to inspire younger generations of creators in all fields. Thank you, Thierry Mugler.

Maybe the closest I will ever get to be to David Bowie… above, two costumes designed by Mugler for the rockstar: the green one featuring on a picture by photographer Brian Aris, the white one featuring in Bowie’s video for Boys Keep Swinging, which is also one of the rare times the artist appears in full drag only to smear his bright red lipstick in an iconic moment of drama.
